Tenerife is full of superlatives. It is the richest, biggest, highest, most visited and most populated of the Canary Islands. They call it the miniature continent. And it certainly is. The many shades of green the humid North is painted with susprisingly contrast with dry and sunny South. The Teide National Park is not only home to Spain's highest peak but to extraordinary lunar landscapes. Its rugged relief among many other factors give the island a fascinating variety of microclimates.Take a car around the island and an incredible mix of colours, perspectives, temperatures and vegetation will surprise you after every turn making you believe you have been transported to another country or even another continent. On a winter day you can easily go snowball fighting after swiming on the beach. It does not matter what your hobbies are, Tenerife has it share of paradise for climbers, treckers, divers, surfers, party goers, photographers, sailors and shopaholics alike.
