Enclosed between the Atlantic Ocean and Portugal, the southern-west most corner of inland Spain evokes a time of conquests and adventurous sailors. It was from here that Columbus’s ships departed and it was here Europe first heard of the New World. The coast is an endless line of almost unspoiled white sandy beaches. Huelva is also home to Spain’s first National Park “Doñana” a must for wild life lovers and bird watching.
