Fuerteventura is the closest to Africa’s coast out of the Canary Islands. Geologically speaking it is also the oldest among them and therefore the most eroded too. The high cliffs of Tenerife, La Palma or Gran Canaria have changed here into rolling hills not high enough to catch the moist brought by the trade winds. The sheer beauty of its landscapes devoid of vegetation and the endless white sandy beaches created by the winds from the Sahara desert make of visiting Fuerteventura a breath-taking experience.
